Flying Salvias

Amerikinda takes off!

Long-time fixtures on the Bay Area music scene both together and on their own, piano wiz Henry and vocalist Kathleen Salvia have created their own signature brand of original “Amerikinda” music, so called because it repeatedly strays over the borders of Americana, blending country, pop, blues, beatnik jazz, swing, rhumba, samba, and old hippy, though not always in the same song. They have 5 albums to their credit, including Henry's Hideaway and Amerikinda, both released in 2024.

Interesting Factoid: Their tune Brick by Brick, created for the very first Lego video game, Lego Island, has become a cult hit with a million listens on YouTube, Spotify, etc.
